Choir
The Greenwood Elementary School Choir was formed as a way for students who are interested in music to participate in musical activities during the school year in addition to their music classes.
Greenwood’s Choir is a voluntary activity and is dependent upon all members. Currently, our choir has over 110 students who participate.
Interested students in fourth through sixth grades are given a one week opportunity to sign up for the Greenwood Elementary School Choir. This takes place at the very beginning the school year. All students who sign up must audition. Students are not allowed to join after the sign up week is over.
Choir members are expected to attend all performances. The choir sings at various school functions and occasional activities off campus. The choir rehearses each morning from 7:45 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.
The Greenwood Elementary School Choir consists of a fine group of students who adhere to high standards. The students in our choir take pride in themselves and our school. Students involved in our choir are given the opportunity to improve their work ethics as well as explore different kinds of music. This in turn helps them to consider music as a hobby or area of interest.
